義烏（イーウー）に1週間滞在しましたが、このホテルのきめ細やかなサービスには心が温まり、すべてのバイヤーにお勧めしたいと思いました
今回、義烏国際商貿城での仕入れ案件のために「Bali Yating Hotel Yiwu」に丸7日間滞在しました。各地の卸売市場を飛び回るビジネス旅行者として数え切れないほどのホテルを利用してきましたが、このホテルのサービスは、一般的なビジネスホテルのような「マニュアル通り」の対応とは一線を画すものでした。随所に感じられる心遣いが、出張の満足度を最高のものにしてくれました。
仕入れのサンプルが入った大きなスーツケースを2つ引きずってホテルの入り口に着くと、すぐにドアマンが駆け寄って重い荷物を引き取り、フロントまで運んでくれました。自分で苦労して運ぶ必要は一切ありませんでした。チェックインの際、フロントスタッフは私が以前利用したことのある常連客だとすぐに気づき、私の姓を正確に呼んでくれました。さらに、前回気に入っていた「高層階の通りに面していない静かな部屋」を今回も用意してくれたと伝えてくれ、おかげでぐっすりと休むことができました。また、商貿城の最新の仕入れガイドも自ら手渡してくれました。そこには最近オープンした優良店の場所や周辺の配送業者の連絡先が記されており、こちらから尋ねる前に、必要な情報を先回りして用意してくれていたのです。
滞在中のサービスは、どこをとっても心が温まるものでした。ある日、深夜まで仕事をしてホテルに戻った際、レストランの夕食時間を過ぎてしまっていました。私がまだ食事をしていないことを知ったフロントスタッフは、こちらから頼む前に、厨房から温かい広東風のスープ麺を用意してくれました。部屋に届けてくれた時もまだ温かく、その瞬間、一日中動き回った疲れがすっかり吹き飛ぶようでした。また、サンプルの埃がついた作業着が溜まっていて洗濯したかったのですが、セルフランドリーは満室でした。しかし、客室係のスタッフが優先的に洗濯できるよう手配してくれ、2時間もしないうちに、乾燥・折り畳み済みの清潔な服を届けてくれました。ホテルのスタッフは皆、常連客の好みをよく把握しています。例えば、毎朝出かける前に挽きたてのアメリカーノを飲む習慣があることを知っており、ある日1階のカフェに足を踏み入れた途端、私の好みに合わせたコーヒーがすでにカウンターに用意されていました。また、仕事で歩き回って足が痛いと何気なく話したところ、2日後にはフロントがこっそりと使い捨てのマッサージ用フットパッドを届けてくれ、歩行による足の疲れやむくみを和らげるのに役立つと気遣ってくれました。深夜1時や2時にホテルへ戻った際も、入り口の警備員が自らドアを開けて挨拶をしてくれるだけでなく、「夜間は周辺の一部で道路工事が行われているため、歩道を通ったほうが安全ですよ」と親切に声をかけてくれました。
ある時、取引先との打ち合わせを終えてホテルに戻った際、重要な仕入れ契約書が入ったファイルケースをタクシーに置き忘れてしまったことに気づきました。その事情を伝えると、フロントは直ちにタクシー会社への連絡や防犯カメラの確認手配を行ってくれ、わずか20分足らずでファイルケースを見つけ出してくれました。おかげで、翌日の契約のスケジュールに全く支障をきたすことはありませんでした。対応の過程でたらい回しにされるようなことは一切なく、スタッフ全員が主体的に問題解決に取り組んでくれたのです。こうした「安心感」は、多くの高級ホテルであってもなかなか得られるものではありません。

今回、義烏へ雑貨の仕入れのために訪れ、このホテルに1週間滞在しましたBali Yating Hotel Yiwu。予約時は単に「商貿城に近い拠点」という条件だけで選んだのですが、実際に泊まってみると、市場を回る出張の満足度が格段に高まる素晴らしい体験が待っていました。今後は義烏に来る際、迷わずここを定宿にしようと思います。
義烏駅からはタクシーで20分ほど。ホテルの入り口がある通り沿いには商店が立ち並び活気があって、辺鄙な場所特有の寂しい雰囲気は皆無です。チェックインの際、商貿城での仕入れが目的だと伝えると、フロントの方が気を利かせて高層階の「スーペリア・キングルーム」を用意してくれました。通りに面していない静かな部屋なので、昼間に市場を歩き回って疲れても、夜はぐっすりと眠ることができます。さらに、商貿城の各エリアへのルートが記されたカードも手渡してくれ、地図アプリで調べる手間が省けて本当に助かりました。
私が泊まったのは25平米の「スマートコントロール・ルーム」で、広々として開放感がありました。客室内のスマート制御システムは使い勝手が抜群で、暗闇でスイッチを探す必要もありません。ベッドに横たわったまま照明やカーテン、エアコンを操作できるので、一日中動き回って部屋に戻った後、わざわざ立ち上がる労力もほとんど要りませんでした。寝具の硬さも絶妙です。前日に商貿城で1万歩以上歩いて足が重く痛んでいましたが、ベッドに身を預けると、全身の疲れがすっと癒やされていくようでした。インターネットの速度も非常に安定しており、夜に部屋で仕入れの注文を整理したり、サプライヤーとオンラインで打ち合わせをしたりしても、途切れることなくスムーズでした。ロビーまで行ってネット環境を探す必要は全くありませんでした。
何より嬉しかったのは、ホテル内にある「悦・カフェ（Yue Cafe）」の存在です。ここは間違いなく、このホテルの「隠れた目玉」と言えるでしょう。木目を基調とした温かみのある上質な内装で、大きな窓と柔らかな間接照明が配されており、一歩足を踏み入れると、外の繁華街の喧騒から切り離されたような落ち着いた空間が広がっています。朝、出かける前に淹れたてのラテを一杯。その豊かな香りと味わいで一気に目が覚め、一日中市場を歩き回っても眠気を感じません。夕方、仕事を終えて戻ってきたら、トルココーヒーとチーズケーキを楽しみながら、その日仕入れたサンプルをゆっくりと整理します。そうすると、一日の疲れや慌ただしさがすっと消えていくのを感じます。カフェでは世界中から来たバイヤーと顔を合わせることも多く、何気ない会話から業界の新しい情報を思いがけず手に入れられることもあります。
朝食のクオリティも期待以上でした。炒め物、麺類、フルーツなど種類が豊富で、特に麺コーナーの調味料は10種類以上もあり、自分好みの味にアレンジできます。わざわざ朝から外へ朝食店を探しに行く必要もなく、お腹を満たしたらそのまま歩いて商貿城（マーケット）へ向かえます。館内には24時間利用可能なコインランドリーやジムも完備されています。市場を回って埃をかぶった服も、洗濯・乾燥すれば翌日にはまた着られますし、仕事の合間に30分ほど軽く体を動かせば、凝り固まった体もほぐれます。
以前、義烏へ仕入れに来た際は、移動や食事に多くのエネルギーを費やしてしまいがちでした。しかし今回「Bali Yating Hotel Yiwu」に滞在してみて、拠点を正しく選ぶことが、出張の満足度を大きく高めるのだと実感しました。次に義烏で商談をする際も、迷わずここを選ぶと思います。
